Amos 8:6-8

⁶So as to ^(A)buy the poor for ^[a]money
And the needy for a pair of sandals,
And that we may sell the refuse of the wheat?”

⁷Yahweh has ^(B)sworn by the ^(C)lofty pride of Jacob,
“Indeed, I will ^(D)never forget any of their works.
⁸Because of this will not the land ^(E)tremble
And everyone who inhabits it ^(F)mourn?
Indeed, all of it will ^(G)rise up like the Nile,
And it will be tossed about
And subside like the Nile of Egypt.
